Here are five facts I didn’t know before I visited Cape Town.

1. There are three tall buildings visible from the climb up to Table mountain called Salt, Pepper and Mustard.
2. The cloud cover over Table Mountain is known as the Table Cloth.
3. You can hear the noon cannon shot from Signal Hill right across the city.
4. It can be very windy in Cape Town!
5. Load shedding is the South African term for power outages.
