Thank you NationaL Trust in Hampshire for opening some of your gardens and parklands. I urge others to become members of the National Trust…… if we want places such as Mottisfont to be available to explore and visit in the future.
I had booked a time slot online on a Friday and arrived at the designated time. We were met with a cheery greeting and advice about where to show printed tickets and where to park. We were also told which areas were one way systems and where the toilets are located. It was so well organised.
It might have been dull, chilly and windy but it was so good to see pastures new. With limited visitors allowed there was at no point any worries about being too close to others and in fact in some areas we were the only walkers.
The rose garden was lovely as you would expect at this time of the year and there were sign posts to remind you to wait or not to pass others ensuring a seamless visit. Can’t wait to book another National Trust property in Hampshire visit.
Isn’t it fantastic to get out and enjoy gardens and parks again! We had one open recently and they did the same thing with time slots…felt like we had the place to ourselves…so nice!

I’ve been going to a National Trust place nearly every weekend, even if the pre-booking’s a bit of a pain. So glad that they’re open again.

Yes it’s a great pleasure to do that. We have recently been to Suffolk and visited Sutton Hoo ……
