There are three big fat reasons why we felt that November was an excellent time to visit Orlando
- Halloween is popular and the theme parks put on special events, homes are decorated and Halloween is seen as big holiday time in America, by all means visit if you want to experience it but for us crowd reduction was key! Thanksgiving is also a popular time for locals to visit so again we avoided this period…meaning early/mid November was bang on popular for our family.
- The temperatures are much lower as is humidity, in fact a couple of evenings and early mornings it got quite ‘chilly’ in Florida terms and I wore a light sweatshirt at these times on a couple of days. Volcano Bay was quiet as locals like it warmer to go swimming.
- If you like Christmas then it comes early in the theme parks as once the Halloween decorations are boxed the Christmas trees and lights are installed and yes Disney does it well.
Despite all of the above there are still plenty of visitors and traffic quickly builds from 5pm on the major highways cutting through Orlando. There is probably never a quiet day in Orlando!
Cooler weather and less humidity is the best reason I can think of for going at that time of year. Must be slightlt quieter in the parks too surely apart from Halloween?
