I happened on the Titanic Quarter almost by accident when surfing the Airbnb site for potential places to stay for a long weekend in Belfast. Arc Apartments popped up and the location was a godsend.
Being a traveller of a certain age I didn’t particularly want an area where I might be disturbed by the late night club crowd or the closing time brigade so I was delighted to find that the Titanic Quarter offers a quiet area which is within easy walking distance of attractions and the popular Cathedral Quarter.
On hand in this area is the SEE Arena, the Titanic Exhibition Centre and of course the piece de resistance The Titanic Museum.
If self catering the area has a supermarket and eating places.
There are fantastic views of Lagan Weir, Samson the giant H&W crane, the Titanic Museum and the opportunity to walk over the illuminated Lagan Weir bridge at night with views of both the city centre and the Titanic Quarter.
If arriving in at the George Best Airport the taxi ride will be about £6
