A strip of large grey pebbles separates the clear blue and turquoise sea from a neat crazy paved pathway along this pretty village. With water as clear as gin it invites swimmers to cool down from the hot Greek September sun.
Quiet in September Skaloma is populated by mainly middle aged couples and retirees. The people watcher can see groups of ladies standing in the sea up to their necks and giggling or their husbands tucked into shady corners of a pavement cafe stirring thick Greek coffee.
Like its neighbouring villages Skaloma is reached by turning from the main road which winds steeply down to the Gulf of Corinth, passing a tiny church and a wooden pontoon before evening out beside a handful of friendly bars.
Wow! The clear blue water looks so inviting. Great photos!

The water was lovely but not so keen to walk on pebbles though!
