Art in Prague – a photoblog

img_9324Although The Grey Traveller is not an art aficionado I can enjoy it and particularly like to photograph street art or things I just find arty.

Before visiting I hadn’t appreciated that Andy Warhol was from the Slovakia region and so my first art experience in Prague was the Gallery Goap in the old town square. This was one of three artist exhibitions. For a mature traveller like the Grey seeing Mucha again took me back to the seventies when his posters were very popular.

There were many unusual sculptures around not least the large babies on the River Walk in Mala Strana.

But my top arty find was the Museum of Illusional Art in the old town opposite the astronomical clock….here are a few of my favourite photos.

  1. Love the photos. I don’t know anything about art and would never claim it was an interest of mine but do like to see new and interesting paintings/sculptures/installations/etc.
