Aynho, Northants – a photoblog

img_5200Driving through England’s green and pleasant land is a pleasing experience….especially if you are the one not doing the driving. Needing a break we found ourselves lunching at the Pickled Ploughman on the road between Adderbury in Oxfordsshire and Aynho in Northants. We had a rumbustious BLT with glorious fat chips and a crisp Sauvignon in the afternoon sunshine before exploring Aynho.

Toe early for its famous apricots we settled with marvelling at the Cotswold stone cottages lit by the early sun, we peeped through the gates at Aynho Park and were welcomed into St Michael’s Church.

The The Cartwright Arms looked  Grey Traveller inviting so have promised myself a return. Here are a few of my favourite photos.
