Stratford upon Avon canal walk – photoblog

Starting from the Red Lion in the centre of the town the Stratford canal heads north towards Wilmcote and eventually Birmingham… makes for a very pleasant stroll with a wide footpath and plenty of ‘lock action’.

Tumbling may bushes drop into the canal and loose petals blow across the water at this time of the year. Early summer and the banks are busy with bright yellow iris and baby ducklings and cygnets brooded over by proud mums.

Bargees shout hello and dog walkers nod…warm weather is just around the corner
