Holy Trinity Church – Stratford Upon Avon, Shakespeare’s grave – a photoblog.

West of the town the steeple of Holy Trinity Church looks down on the River Avon and the swans and boats that busy theirselves on this popular section of the river.

Famous for being Shakespeare’s last resting place this church is more significant to me as the church where my uncle and two aunts were christened and perhaps where my grandparents were married.

A shop in the church sells souvenirs and voluntary donations suggested allows the visitor to get up close to Shakespeare’s grave……otherwise entry is free.

    1. Thank you. I used to visit as a child although at the time didn’t appreciate how important this town is culturally. I didn’t know this set of grandparents but have had the opportunity to visit several times in last few years and we love it.
