Walking the National Mall DC

img_3702From the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial is an activity in its self never mind visiting any of the Smithsonian Museums.

Took us about 45 minutes to stroll the wide open area. There is a range of architectural styles to distract the walker as well as catching a full on view of both the Capitol building and The Monument.

img_7470Every topic you can imagine is curated amongst the museums from arts to history, from politics to culture and of course the biggie the Air and Space Museum.

If starting from the Capitol you end the walk passing the Reflecting Pool and the Korean and Vietnam War Memorials.

    1. Ha ha , we really enjoyed the history one and spent two thirds of a day there. The air and space didn’t have the Apollo exhibit open so we were a bit disappointed. But the fact they are free is amazing .
