Marblehead was the first stop off on The Grey Traveller’s recent New England road trip taking in coastal walks and leaf peeping. Loved the historic district and also The Muffin Shop where I enjoyed an incredible strawberry smoothie with extra whipped cream. So of course I was overawed by the clapboard houses and how well kept the area is. Crisp sunny autumn weather or as you Americans like to say ….fall.
The houses in the historic district are neatly labelled with details of the original owner and date of construction. The wide roads lead down to the the ocean front, where boats bob and lobster is sold. We took the short walk round Sewell Fort and felt what an awesome introduction to New England! Thank you Marblehead!
New England looks beautiful and the Muffin Shop sounds worth a visit. Always fancied visiting that part of the US.
