Hovercraft trip from Southsea to Ryde

B7BFEB36-73B2-47CB-8B0F-DC6DA919F14E.jpegIt takes just ten minutes to cross the Solent from the mainland to Ryde, Isle of Wight. It’s a seamless, efficient, comfortable and fast service to enjoy some island hopping. Tickets can be purchased online or on the day if available.

Travellers are checked in and ushered to a comfortable waiting area with views of the Solent before being invited on to the hovercraft. The seats are comfortable and there are plenty of windows to enjoy views of the Solent Forts, sailing boats and if you a lucky a cruise liner.

A safety talk is given and before you know it you are on your way. The journey is beach to beach, close to Clarence Pier in Southsea and arrival at Ryde Esplanade. Ryde is a great jumping off point for exploring the island or walking the coastal path for a short break, day trip or even longer.

Ten minutes to start an island hopping adventure, what could be better?
