Tan Chi Taung, Myanmar photoblog

A48C56BA-AC93-432D-B5F5-840A5CBB2464On my third day of a  Sanctuary Retreats Irrawaddy River Cruise I found myself at Tan Chi Taung where along with my guide Khin Nyein Thu I climbed high to a beautiful pagoda and golden stupa. Once I had oohed and ahhed at the shiny temple and views I got to see a traditional elephant dance put on by locals to support the development of their village. On a hot day a group of young men donned a heavy elephant costume and performed a series of traditional dances. Here are a few photographs of the area.
