Bank Holiday heat wave Bubble on English South Coast

5C9CFD1F-A575-4C49-9445-A27A44699DF1This long weekend seems like a Bank Holiday bubble whilst my travel experiences have not been far from home here on the south coast having such unusually hot weather has meant an excuse to explore locally or as we now like to call it a ‘staycation’. The English weather is known for its unpredictability and change and certainly in the last few weeks we have had snow, high winds, rain and  low temperatures but now we are experiencing a mini heatwave at highs of 24C almost unheard of. In fact the weather forecasters says this could be the highest recorded temperature for the early May Bank Holiday.

So the weekend has been made of walking the local fields and round a nearby creek at the upper end of Portsmouth Harbour and we still have our Hovercraft trip at lunchtime today to look forward to. It’s a service offering a lunchtime flyer from Lee on the Solent to Ryde  on the Isle of Wight……….we could not have asked for a better day to try this new service…….watch this space …….. blog post about my trip to follow.
