The sun was shining on the south coast of England yesterday morning so many people were out walking or jogging the promenade at Lee on the Solent. The tide was in on our shingle beach but I didn’t see any brave swimmers…but what I did see was our new local service from Lee on the Solent to Ryde via a hovercraft. The slipway had been fenced off and a roar of engines heralded the start of the journey leaving all those left behind on the beach covered just a little bit with sea spray…what a great way to get to the island. Will be taking the trip soon myself so watch this space……………………
Love it, happy Bank Holiday weekend

I love taking hovercraft. They are so fast, you don’t have time or room to be scared, as they are usually packed.
