- Location of Rothschild’s Villa
- What to see at the villa
- Beaulieu Sur Mer
Rothschild’s Villa provides a very pleasant break from the hot Cote d’Azur sun in the South of France, once again this was one of Richard and Anne’s recommendations when we stayed in their beautiful cottage in nearby Vence.
Opening at 10am this magnificent pink villa open’s its doors to the public so we can enjoy a little decadence as we wander the upstairs and down and peer into rooms, velveted and cushioned to please the highest of expectations of Rothschild’s and his guests. With views over Beaulieu and down to the Kyrios Villa this home would have stood out like a pink sugar cube looking down on all the tiny coastal cottages and homes when it was first built. But whether pink is your thing or not it blends well into this sunny colourful area.
You are invited also to wander the many themed gardens which are just as beautiful as the interior of this building. There is also a cafe serving lush ice creams and a full lunch if time allows.
With just a couple of miles to parking by the Beaulieu Marina, stretch your legs round the town and sip a glass of local wine as the fishermen bring in their catch and sell to the public on the harbour wall.
